Our Mission: Make Jesus Known

communion (2)Worship at Trinity

Visitors and guests are always welcome for worship!  Sunday morning worship is at 10:30 a.m. Our worship service is rich in music and scriptural reference, using a blend of traditional, folk and contemporary hymns.  Holy Communion is now offered every Sunday!  Worshipers may follow along in our bulletin or on our overhead display screen. Please join us any Sunday for an uplifting worship experience with a friendly congregation.

Growing in Christ

We grow together in Christ through worship, fellowship, study, and service.  Trinity is currently embarking on a partnership with The Navigators to help us grow further as disciples of Christ.  Christian education for adults is normally offered from October through May at 9:00 a.m.   Children’s Church is held during the Pastor’s message of the worship service.  Opportunities to enhance your personal spiritual life are available.  They may include:

  • Participate in a “triad” Bible study, part of our Navigators program to help us become better disciples.
  •  Offer support to our Senior members, who may be lonely or in need of assistance with food and errands.
  •  Assist with worship as a member of our altar guild; or serve as a reader or communion assistant.
  •  Encourage fellow community members by being part of our Sunshine Club card and care ministry.
  •  Lift one another up in prayer and support.

soup (2)Service to Our Community

Trinity is a founding congregation for our local emergency assistance program, Hillsdale CARES (Churches Actively Responding to Emergency Situations). Through this program we join forces with 12 other local congregations to help our neighbors in need.

Food Ministry. Church members deliver a weekly box of groceries to our neighbors in need. Through Hillsdale CARES, we partner with area farmers, businesses, and other nonprofits to fill these weekly boxes with a variety of foods and personal care items. If you or someone you know is in need of food, please call the church at 419-368-3132 or Sue at 419-282-1926.

Food From Our Father. We serve a free community meal on the third Thursday of each month. The meals are served in our Fellowship Hall from 5:00-6:00 p.m., or you may come in and get meals to go. We encourage community members to deliver meals to people they know who are quarantined or staying shut-in, and we are also willing to deliver to shut-ins in the Jeromesville area. Call the church office for details.

Additional Help such as referrals and limited emergency help with expenses are also available.

Little Library.  Pick up some reading materials. Leave something you’d like to share.  Our Little Library is located at the front of the church and is available for all.

It’s nice to see the church is still thriving. It was a great church to grow up in. Was confirmed there in 1969.

Friday, May 29th, will be the 60th anniversary of my ordination which occured in Trinity Lutheran Church. I will be remembering with great appreciation the hospitality of the congregation and my years of service as her Pastor. May God continue to bless her and her people and pastor.
